Leon Rose

Leon Rose ist einer der innovativsten und bekanntesten Persönlichkeiten der internationalen Salsa Szene.
Er ist in London geboren und dort aufgewachsen, hat jedoch karibische Wurzeln.
Leon Rose verschrieb sich früh dem Tanz und hat demnach zahlreiche Bühnenauftritte absolviert. U.a. mit Enrique Iglesias bei Top of the Pops (BBC), in der Royal Albert Hall für Prinzessin Diana und in diversen angesehen Locations in Großbritannien und dem Rest der Welt.
Als Choreograph und Salsa-Lehrer genießt Leon alle Aspekte des Tanzes. Er liebt die Arbeit mit seinen Schüler und holt gerne das Beste aus Ihnen raus. Er unterrichtet international, von Australien bis Marokko bis hin zu Puerto Rico.
Für seine Show “Backround” und “Manteca” gab es für ihn und seine Tanzpartnerin Dorottya “Dotty” Ujszaszi Standing Ovations bei Amsterdam Salsa Congress 2011.

Dorottya “Dotty” Ujszaszi

Dotty wurde in Ungarn geboren verbracht jedoch einen Großteil ihrer Kindheit in Santiago, Kuba.
Bereits als junges Kind begann sie mit Ballet und Standard/Latein worauf auch ihr Fokus bis zum Ende ihres Studiums an der Ballet Schule of Ballet Gyor lag. Sie schloss ihre Tanzausbildung 2002 als Jahrgangsbeste ab. Unmittelbar danach tanzte beim Budapest Dance Theater und reiste 4 Jahren mit Ihnen um die ganze Welt.
2010 zog sie nach London wo sie Leon Rose kennenlernte und wenig später wurde sie Mitglied des Leon Rose Project. Seitdem ist sie auf zahlreichen Salsa Events vertreten und begeistert das Publikum mit ihrem Talent.

Leon Rose

Leon Rose is one of the freshest innovators in the international Salsa scene. His inspirational style generates enthusiasm and commitment to the art of Salsa dancing.
He was born and educated in London and comes from a Caribbean background where he learnt to appreciate a wide variety of good music from an early age. During these years, Leon attended The Anna Scher Theatre School, which led to many appearances on stage.
As a choreographer and Salsa instructor Leon enjoys every aspect of dancing from encouraging the novice to working with the advanced and inspiring the best. Leon teaches worldwide from a far field as Australia to Morocco to Puerto Rico. His natural exuberance and Salsa spirit ensures that to see him in action – Salsa is Life!
For his Show with his Dance-Partner Dorottya “Dotty” Ujszaszi” “Backround” and “Manteca” they got standing ovations at the Amsterdam Salsa Congress 2011.

Dorottya “Dotty” Ujszaszi

She was born in Hungary but spent the early part of her childhood in Santiago, Cuba.
At a young age she was introduced to ballet and ballroom dancing, which were her main styles of dance until she finished studying at the Professional Ballet School of Ballet Gyor. There she won “best graduated dancer in Hungary 2002” award, and became the number one ranked couple in the Latin Ballroom. After the school she joined Budapest Dance Theatre for 4 years, and became one of the main dancers.
At the beginning of 2010 she moved to London, where she met Leon Rose, and a few months later joined the Paris based “Leon Rose Project”. Within a short space of time she has already travelled extensively with the Project performing their “Manteca” and “Backstage” routines. Salsa was always a part of her life since she finished the ballroom dances, but she committed herself to the “NY/LA” styles since she moved to London. Presently she is working on developing the techniques, which are an interesting fusion of contemporary, contact and salsa dancing based.
